Gasketed Plate Heat Exchanger

By means of technological innovation Sondex has developed and designed a new generation of plate heat exchangers.

With the big range of plate heat exchangers Sondex has got the optimal technical solution for any possible task, with connection sizes from 15 to 500 mm covering a liquid flow of 50l/hour to 2000 m3/hour.

The construction of the inlet part makes a perfect distribution of the liquids across the heating surface. The inlet part is increased and designed with channels preventing "dead spots" on the plate heat exchanger. The inlet with channels secures a strong inlet part with a minimum of contact points.

A gasket plate heat exchanger consists of a number of pressed metal plates each with a rubber gasket. The gaskets are arranged in such a way so as to allow two fluids to pass in opposite directions up and down alternate channels.

The design of the exchanger enables it to be easily dismantled for cleaning or addition of plates.

Semiwelded Plate Heat Exchanger

Semi welded plates are built up in plate cassettes. A plate cassette is 2 plates welded together by means of laser welding. The advantage by this construction is on the one side welded plate channel and on the other side a traditional plate channel with gaskets making assembling and cleaning of this side easier. On the welded side there are two specially produced corner hole gaskets creating the tightening between the two cassettes. Thus the gasket is reduced to a minimum on the welded side.

Applications for Free Flow Plates
"Free Flow" product range offers distinct advantages, especially when used for liquids containing solids, particles, fibres or high viscous products i.e. pulp/paper industry, waste water treatment plants, sugar industry, juice production, grain based ethanol production, heat recovery systems and many other special tasks where the "normal" plate heat exchangers usually will block.

Brazed Plate Heat Exchanger

Advantages of the Brazed Plate Heat Exchanger
Low purchase price, high technical efficiency combined with thin plate material and low production costs keep the Sondex sales price of the brazed heat exchanger at an extremely competitive level. High temperature and pressure contrary to the traditional plate heat exchanger. The brazed plate heat exchanger does not contain rubber gaskets and can thus operate continuously at temperatures from minus 180C. up to 200C. The operating pressure can be as high as 30 bar.

Construction
brazed plate exchanger consists of a number of thin, acid-resistant stainless steel plates with copper to be precicion stamped and assembled as a unit, each alternate plate being rotated 180. The plate pack, assembled with two end plates and connections, is vacuum brazed at extremely high temperatures providing a permanently sealed heat exchanger. The final result is a strong and compact plate heat exhanger with extremely high heat transmissions.

Application
Application brazed plate heat exchangers can be utilized for heating and cooling of clean liquids. Furthermore, the brazed plate heat exchangers are suitable as evaporators and condenser units.

Milk Pasteurizer/ Chiller

Milk pasteurizers/Chillers
Continously operated simple plate pasteurizer for milk with a capacity of 400 L/h including pre-storing tank, plate heat exchanger and holding system (20s), electrical-boiler, hot water pump, product pump, line recorder, digital temperature controller,frame.
The line recorder with 1 channel, records the product temperature used, up to 90 degree C. All materials connecting with the calf-milk , incl. frame are from stainless steel.
